Almost Famous Complete Soundtrack

This was another movie from my high school years that felt right. I can't say exactly what about this movie I like the most. But the era of music it dealt with was coinciding with my musical taste. So I guess I felt like young William experiencing the world through music. For this soundtrack I compiled it all in high quality 320 kbps. I also included 3 songs that aren't necessarily in the movie. Peggy Sue by Buddy Holly which was sung on the plane, Colour My World by Chicago which was performed by a high school band at William's graduation and Cover Of The Rolling Stone by Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show which was sung at Max's when they found out they got the cover.

Rushmore Complete Soundtrack

This may be my favorite movie ever. I would argue that depending on the day. Those who know me would say Ghostbusters is my favorite. Well both of these movies has something in common: Bill Murray. And they both have great soundtracks. Ghosbusters is at least very memorable for nostalgia's sake along with a great score by Elmer Bernstein. This movie and it's soundtrack, though, mean more to me because I saw a lot of myself in the character of Max Fisher. I too went from private school to public when this came out. I listened to a lot of The Who and other 60s British music. I was involved with drama and other extracurricular activities, which led to me not doing well in school and failing grades. So I would listen to this soundtrack over and over like Benjamin Braddock seemed to be listening to Simon and Garfunkel in The Graduate.

Vanilla Sky Complete Soundtrack

I never thought much of this movie. I saw it in the theater the same day I saw Ocean's Eleven and Not Another Teen Movie. I do like Cameron Crowe's movies, especially Almost Famous (there may be a posting of that coming soon). Now the soundtrack I gathered as a request from a friend. He wanted to know a certain song from the movie and as I am to want to be able to answer, I didn't know. So that night I looked up the soundtrack and found there wasn't a COMPLETE version out there. Spaced Almost Complete Soundtrack

This is one of my all-time favorite shows. I love the pop culture references to movies, comics, tv, and music. There was only a cd released of the first series. It did have some good stuff and a few clips from the show, but I felt it was really lacking in some of the deeper music cues that were used. There are only a hand full of songs missing, ones I couldn't find and ones that aren't available(Sons of Silence).
